Return & Refund Policy
Modern Mahjong Set want every customer to have a positive shopping experience. If something is not right with your order, we are here to help.
This Return & Refund Policy explains when and how you may request a return or refund, along with the conditions that apply.
1. Return Period
Our return window is 14 days from the date your order is marked as delivered. Return requests submitted within this 14-day period will be eligible for review and processing. To be eligible, the product must meet the requirements listed in Section 2.
2. Return Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for a return, items must:
(1)Be unused, unwashed, and undamaged
(2)Returned items must be in their original packaging and include all tiles, accessories, and included components in like-new condition.
(3)Be free from stains, odors, scratches, or signs of wear
(4)Be returned from the same country the order was delivered to.
(5)Product damage discovered before the plastic shrink wrap was removed.
Non-eligible items include:
(1)Items that are used, damaged, or altered after delivery
(2)Products without original accessories or packaging
(3)Items returned after the 14-day window
(4)Personalized or customized products
Modern Mahjong Set reserves the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions.
3. Return Shipping
For products eligible for return, we will cover the return shipping costs in the following cases:
(1) Damage discovered upon receipt;
(2) Incorrect item shipped;
(3) Missing accessories.
Packaging Notice
Please note that due to the length of international shipping and handling during transit, the outer shrink wrap on the Mahjong set may occasionally have minor tears or looseness upon arrival.
The shrink wrap is only used as an additional protective layer and any small damage to the wrapping does not affect the condition, quality, or completeness of the Mahjong set inside.
We carefully inspect and package every set before shipment to ensure it arrives in excellent condition. Minor shrink wrap imperfections caused during transportation are considered a normal part of the shipping process and are not considered a product defect or a reason for a free return or refund.
If the Mahjong tiles or inner packaging are damaged, opened, or affected upon arrival, please contact us with photos, and we will be happy to assist you.
For products eligible for return, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs in the following cases:
1) Customer purchased the wrong product;
2) Customer does not like the product.
4. Restocking Fee
If returned items are not in their original packaging, a 15% restocking fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
Packages that are refused by the customer or returned due to incorrect or incomplete shipping information will subject to return shipping charges and restocking fees.
5. Return Label
To start a return, customers must contact us to obtain a downloadable return label. We do not include return labels inside packages. Return labels are only issued after approval.
6. Order Cancellations
Orders may be canceled before the order ships. Once an order has been dispatched, it can no longer be canceled and must be processed as a return following this policy.
7. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, we want to make it right. Please contact us within 7 days of delivery at customerservice@modernmahjongset.com with the following:
l Your order number
l A description of the issue
l Clear photos of the item(s) and packaging
Once reviewed, we will work with you to find the best resolution, which may include a replacement, reshipment, or refund. Requests submitted outside the 7-day window may not be eligible for resolution.
8. Exchange Policy
If you would like to request an exchange, please contact us by email. We will be happy to assist you as long as the item meets all eligible return requirements, including being unused, in its original packaging, and with all shrink-wrapped tiles and accessories included. Opened or used items may not qualify for a full refund unless the item is defective or damaged.
9. Return Address
Our return receiving warehouse is located in California (CA), United States. Please do not ship returns to any other address. A valid return label with the correct address will be provided upon approval of your return request.
10. Refund Processing
Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you whether your refund has been approved. If approved, your refund will be automatically issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
Please note that your bank or credit card provider may require additional time to process and post the refund to your account. Shipping fees (if paid) are not refundable.
